Setcrete Flexible floor levelling compound has been used to achieve a high quality floor finish in a recent property refurbishment, in Rugby, Warwickshire. The levelling compound, part of Setcrete’s range of high performance flooring products for the professional builder, helped to provide a smooth, durable floor in the property’s new bathroom, as part of an extensive refurbishment programme.
Following initial preparation and cleaning of the floor, builders of James Peck Property Services installed a 3-5mm application of Setcrete Flexible over the concrete and plywood subfloor. The product, which utilises the latest advances in cement and polymer technology provided a fast track, professional finish, ready to receive the luxury vinyl floorcovering.
James Peck, Managing Director of James Peck Property Services, said: “I’ve used levelling products in the past, but I’ve always felt like I was fighting against them when installing them. I started to do some research and came across the Setcrete range. I attended a Setcrete training course at its headquarters, in Staffordshire, and learnt a lot about the products and which ones to use for different installations, and now I wouldn’t use anything else.
“Setcrete Flexible was really great to work with. It was so easy to mix and apply, it self-levelled very well and created a smooth, level finish – I couldn’t have been happier with its performance.”
With an extended working time of 30 minutes, and a walk on time of just 1-2 hours, Setcrete Flexible levels uneven floors quickly and easily, and allows for new ceramic or textile floorcoverings to be installed after 4-6 hours.
Setcrete Flexible complies with GEV EMICODE EC1 Plus for very low emissions, and is available in 20kg lined paper sacks.
